John started playing around the Duluth area in the 80’s – in a blues / rock band called the Blues Allegations, they played in Minneapolis for 3 or 4 years, and then moved back to Duluth, after the band stopped playing regularly, John started doing solo gigs around 2000 – mostly playing around the Duluth / North Shore Area.
With musical influences ranging from the Blues to Roots to Americana, John Cron has been playing solo acoustic guitar around the Duluth and North Shore area for over three decades. He is strongly influenced by the likes of Buddy Guy, Jimmy Hendrix, John Hiatt, and James McMurtry. This is evident in his strong vocals, story-telling lyrics, and percussive playing style.
