DESCRIPTION:DOORS – 6:00 PM \nSHOW – 7:00 PM \nMembers Receive $5.00 discount per ticket by using the members discount code. Email us at friends@aitkinarts.org if you’ve lost or forgotten your code. \nAitkin\, are you ready for some authentic alt country from the midwest? Joe Stamm Band’s live shows are energetic country rock. If you enjoy songs that tell stories and make you tap your toes\, this show is for you! Check out the new album “Little Crosses” ! Joe Stamm Band Website \nJoe Stamm has a way of making seemingly minor moments feel as expansive and full as the Illinois River that runs through his central Illinois homeland. As Joe continues building a life in that same river valley\, new stories continue revealing themselves to him. In the sound of the crickets on a summer night. In the smell of bonfire smoke on a mild winter day. In the taste of a cold garage beer. \nAfter more than a decade of writing\, performing\, and touring\, Stamm has honed his storytelling ability to such fine detail\, you’d think he was there when you were getting up to no good in your hometown. Or at your dinner table when you got the bad news. Or on your porch when you got the good news. His salt-of-the-earth writing style\, coupled with a voice that urges you to feel deeply…well\, that’s what honest music is all about. \n“With uncommonly great songwriting\, and a serious rock n’ roll attitude…Joe Stamm Band casts a wide net of appeal that captures most anyone with any sense of taste who falls within earshot.” – Trigger Coroneos for SavingCountryMusic.com \nVideo: Midwest Town

SUMMARY:Kelley Smith and Boss Mamma
DESCRIPTION:Doors open 6pm\n\n\nSeated show – first come first served.\n\n\nMinnesota songwriter Kelley Smith is a wallflower who fancies old poetry and grandpa sweaters. All at once whimsical and haunting\, Smith delivers deeply affecting lyrics with wry charm and a time traveler’s voice. Prone to melancholy and daydreaming\, Kelley spent her childhood roaming the woods of the north country. To this day\, her longing for that landscape runs deep and seems to find its way into her songs in one way or another. \n\n\nSince 2022\, Kelley has had the honor of sharing stages with artists such as Charlie Parr\, Kelly Hunt\, Wild Horses\, Dave Simonett\, and Alan Sparhawk. Every once in awhile she tucks into old dive bars with her banjo to play folk songs.\n\n\nRaised by musicians\, Smith always had music in her bones\, but it wasn’t until she was 40 and a mother of four that her first record\, Moon Child (2022)\, came to be. “These organic and unvarnished songs reflect life experiences that could as easily come from past lives as they could from Kelley’s soul.” – Rieder Homestead Concerts. \n\n\nBoss Mama (aka Colleen Myhre) takes listeners on an emotional ride from smooth country heartbreak to foot stomping Americana blues and beyond. Her songwriting ranges from honest emotion and earthly imagery to the raucousness of horses\, strippers\, and whiskey. Her voice is authentic\, her stories are relatable\, and her musicianship impeccable. Myhre is a true American singer/songwriter grounded in her passion of soulful and heartfelt music.\n\n\nBoss Mama incessantly refines her performances as she forges new musical relationships in laboring to the creation of music for her herself\, and her fans. Music is already in the tank for her 5th album. For Colleen\, music heals\, embodies love\, and brings people together. \n\n\nMyhre possesses the ability to hypnotize listeners by creating sympathy between her voice and guitar that resonates a true American and local spirit. She not only hopes that you appreciate her music\, but that you strive to learn about her life\, her passion and love of music.

RCPM concerts are joyful\, high energy\, events with the feeling of a family reunion mixed with a beach party. Get your copy of Hell to Breakfast and be ready to sing along to the new songs and dance to the classics. \n“Here’s to life!” Fans around the world can be found singing the chorus of the Roger Clyne-penned fan favorite “Mekong” and toasting their glasses in unison to celebrate life through rock-n-roll. But the inspiration for the song dates back to the time Roger went to Taipei\, Taiwan\, as a college student to teach English during the day and busk with his guitar at night for money. \nClyne continues to transform his life experiences\, inspirations\, observations and his own muses into timeless music. And whether he’s wearing his Converse high tops\, boots or sandals\, Clyne’s blend of punk rock\, country-western and mariachi influences have made him\, drummer PH Naffah\, guitarist Jim Dalton and bassist Nick Scropos – collectively known as Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers – one of America’s best live rock-n-roll bands. \nStarting with the seminal Tempe quartet\, The Refreshments\, Clyne and Naffah put the fun in rock during the 90s grunge era with a sense of humor. They also started what would become a trademark sound on all future albums by adding mariachi horns\, something Clyne was influenced by while in college studying Cultural Anthropology with an ethnography study of mariachis during a three month immersion stay with a local family in Ensenada\, Mexico. \nThe Refreshments’ debut album\, “Fizzy\, Fuzzy\, Big & Buzzy\,” became a cult classic. It produced the alternative radio hit “Banditos” which also had significant airplay on MTV and earned The Freshies an appearance on The Conan O’Brien Show. Clyne then penned and performed the theme song for the Mike Judge animated TV series\, King of Hill. In 2017\, Here’s to Life: The story of The Refreshments\, was released. The feature-length documentary was a hit with fans and critics alike. \nThe Terrace is Aitkin’s newest outdoor venue. SUMMARY:Six Mile Grove
DESCRIPTION:Aitkin County Friends of the Arts and The Terrace Welcome Back Minnesota’s Own Six Mile Grove\n\n\nSeated Show – Choose Your Seat at The Terrace on the day of show\n\n\n\nDoors 6PM ~ Show 7PM\n\n\n\nIt all started in Lyle\, MN (pop. 500) with a skid loader and a fence post. Six Mile Grove frontman Brandon Sampson was 7 years old when he injured his hand while helping his dad on the family farm. Guitar playing was prescribed for rehab\, and Sampson went from the hospital to the music store to buy a new guitar. To keep things fair\, younger brother Brian was awarded a shiny new drum set\, and the seeds of Six Mile Grove were planted. \n\n\nThe brothers spent years pounding on instruments in their great grandmother’s kitchen\, while singing in church with their mom on organ. Brian’s best friend Barry joined the noise\, and his years of piano lessons finally paid off. Dezi Wallace was added thanks to a conversation between two dads over a beer at Lyle Liquor\, the local on and off. John Wheeler\, the final member of Six Mile Grove joined years later on pedal steel and lap steel\, adding decades of experience not only in music but life to the band. \n\n\nSix Mile Grove has weathered 20 years of the tumultuous music scene as a self-managed\, self-produced\, and self-recorded band. Its music continues to evolve\, as an organic\, honest voice untinkered with and untainted by the lure of record labels or flashy music producers. \n\n\nSix Mile Grove honors its roots; you’ll catch the influences of MN music’s best – from Bob Dylan to the Jayhawks – but has also forged its own sound and space on a stage. Their longtime friendship and touring with legendary Johnny Cash guitarist Bob Wootton affirmed their uncompromising commitment to their Americana artistry and musicianship. \n\n\nSix Mile Grove is releasing their seventh album “Million Birds.” In this album\, the band contemplates the humble human challenges of work\, family\, life and love; when to take risks\, when to play it safe\, when to fight\, and when to surrender. \n\n\nAs Wootton states\, “There’s nothing fancy about them and they don’t try to be something they’re not. And that’s what I like about them.”\n\n\nBand Website\n\n\nMusic Video

SUMMARY:Midnight River Choir
DESCRIPTION:Seated Show at The Terrace \nDoors at 6:00\, Music at 7:00 \nMidnight River Choir Website \nTICKETS \n**2026 Members of Aitkin County Friends of the Arts receive a discount of $5.00. When you purchase your tickets\, enter the code you received in your welcome email. Contact us at friends@aitkinarts.org it you would like us to resend the welcome email.** \nThe story of Midnight River Choir is proof that sometimes great bands just happen. One night\, four strangers ended up on a late night float trip down the Guadalupe River. As they made their way down the river singing songs\, the beautiful harmonies floated into the heads of sleeping campers. The next morning\, the boys overheard a man telling a friend that he was “awakened by a midnight river choir.” That was all it took. \nThe boys realized the magic of their combined talents and began writing and performing together under that River-God given name. The formation of Midnight River Choir was nothing short of a force of nature that now translates seamlessly during their live shows. This band needs no labels or comparisons. Their music speaks volumes about who and what they are. Their lives have been woven together by a strong thread of raw energy both on and off stage. They believe that what you get is what you give and they give everything they have to their crowds. When that kind of energy lands back at the feet of the boys it is something of supreme intensity. \nAnd no one ever forgets it. \nEric Middleton: Guitar\, Lead Vocals \nBob Driver III: Bass\, Vocals \nBlake Bentley: Piano\, Vocals \nGeorge Talbert: Drums\, Vocals \n**This is a seated show – Select your seats on the venue map.
